A new study by the University of Colorado, Denver, concludes that jobseekers who use the internet to find a job reduced their unemployment time by approximately 25 percent.
A similar study in 2004, however, contradicted this research as it showed that an internet job search prolongs a person´s time unemployed.
Hani Mansour, a professor of economics who conducted the study, explains that "Web job sites are better designed, and far more specific and user friendly than in the past".
