Steve Jobs tributes pour in on YouTube

Following the death of Steve Jobs on October 5, tributes to the former CEO of Apple have been pouring in on YouTube.

According to an October 7 blog post by YouTube, roughly 3,000 videos with the keyword "Steve Jobs" were uploaded to YouTube October 5-7.

As would be expected, the majority of videos have a somber tone and numerous participants thank Jobs for enabling them to achieve what they have in their lives by creating products such as iTunes, the iPod or the iPad.

In addition to the numerous fan-made videos being uploaded to YouTube, admirers of the former Apple CEO were also re-watching his 2005 Stanford commencement speech, which YouTube states was watched "hundreds of thousands" of times over October 6-7.

YouTube has compiled a list of ten videos in tribute to Steve Jobs which can be watched at: http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=F8E8C09F3C14EAEB
